Both teams came into the clash at Anzac Park on Sunday on the back of six straight wins but Southcity had no answers for the speed and size of the Tigers.
Stand-in skipper James Luff was thrilled with the 34-0 win.
The believes the scoreline shows just how determined the Tigers are to go back-to-back this season.
"It's pleasing to get them to them to nil but obviously that 34 is nice," Luff said.
"To really put the nail in the coffin and put a stamp on the competition let's everyone know we are here and ready to go."
The Tigers bounced out to a 12-0 lead after 11 minutes after dominating possession.
Seb Cottam opened the scoring after four minutes before Mathew Lyons converted off a fortuitous bouncing ball.
Gundagai thought they had extended their lead four minutes later only for Tyron Gorman to be penalised for a double movement but things keep working for the home side.
Lyons then stopped what looked like a certain try to Usaia O'Sullivan with a superb one-on-one tackle before the Bulls were denied another try after a forward pass call.
The momentum continued in Gundagai's favour when Lyons took advantage of O'Sullivan getting sin binned after a late tackle on Luff while kicking to hand the home side an 18-0 lead at the break.
To make matters worse for the Bulls Nathan Rose re-injured his hamstring trying to make stop Lyons for scoring.
Gundagai continued to pile on the pain when Damian Willis scored with 27 minutes remaining before Lyons scored his third off a break from Luff two minutes later.
Cameron Woo ran into a big gap with eight remaining to complete the riot.
Despite playing without captain Luke Berkrey, the Tigers made plenty of inroads through the middle with Joel Field and Dylan Murdoch leading the way.
Luff thought the premiers wanted the win more.
"In the tough times there seemed to be more Tigers jerseys around," he said.
It's back to the drawing board for Southcity captain-coach Kyle McCarthy.
Hamstring issues to Rose and Jake Dooley won't help their cause when they tackle Brothers after the general bye while Gundagai have another top-of-the-table clash against Tumut.
