The Swans turned it on during the second half to run out winners 11.9 (75) to 8.6 (54) in an entertaining affair at Exies Oval.
The straight-shooting Hoppers took it right up to the Swans early and led by two points at half-time.
But Griffith lifted and produced some of their best football for the season to pile on six goals to two and run out 21-point winners.
The win means the Swans are the only undefeated team remaining in the Riverina League after five rounds and confirms their status as the team to beat for this year's premiership.
Griffith coach Will Griggs liked what he saw from the Swans.
"It was good, the second half was good," Griggs said.
"It was pretty tight early, bit of a tug-o-war but the second half we got going and played the best footy we have this year."
A five minute period at the end of the third quarter proved decisive as the Swans piled on three goals to open up a handy 17-point lead.
Jacob Conlan then kicked the lone goal of the last quarter to seal Griffith's victory.
Griggs believes the win over the Hoppers shows to him the Swans are headed in the right direction.
"In the second half we started to move the footy well," he said.
"The two-week block of fitness we did before this game showed because we ran out the game strong. We started to open them up, which was fantastic to see.
"We had a few handy inclusions today, which was good too.
"All in all, we're building at the moment and that was the main message."
Lucas Conlan made a strong return to the Griffith team after spending the first month of the competition with under 18 representative commitments.
He started at centre-half-back and then pushed forward late in a welcome return to the Swans' team.
Griggs was pleased with the job Isaac Campbell did running with Coolamon star Jake Barrett.
Griggs led from the front with another impressive game, while Jordan Iudica, Guy Orton and James Toscan all played well.
The win stretched Griffith's winning streak against Coolamon to eight games.
The Hoppers, however, will still take plenty from the encounter.
Jeremiah Maslin, Luke Redfern and Lochie Durrhkay were all late withdrawals to injury.
That paved the way for some last-minute changes and for Lachlan Crawford to make his senior debut.
Coolamon will return home to face an in-form Narrandera next Saturday, while Griffith will be out to maintain their strong start to the year with a win in the local derby against Leeton-Whitton at Exies Oval.
