Queanbeyan midfielder Jordan Hedington will line-up for Narrandera against Collingullie-Glenfield Park on Saturday after finally getting cleared to the Eagles.
Hedington has his first clearance denied but is now free to make his first appearance for his new club at Narrandera Sportsground on Saturday.
Grintell said Hedington's inclusion is a timely one.
"We've got a few injuries at the minute," Grintell said.
"Jordan will add a bit of class apparently. He's a good outside player that can play on a wing, through the midfield or up forward.
"He's mates with Ryan Price and wanted to come at the start of the year so it's good to have him now."
Narrandera have already made strong progress this season, breaking a 38-game losing streak with a 48-point win over Leeton-Whitton last month.
The Eagles, with one win and three losses to their name, sit in eighth position but remain just one game outside the top five at this early point in the season.
Grintell is not expecting miracles but wants Narrandera to continue to climb.
"We're not going to be world beaters but we know internally what we want to achieve and hopefully we can keep sticking at it and make some progress," he said.
"We'll keep chipping away. It would be great if we didn't have any injuries and could just have a full side for four rounds and get some continuity."
Narrandera hope to welcome back ruckman Ben Perry from a foot injury this weekend, while Issac Bunge (hamstring) and Isaac Williams (ankle) remain doubtful and could be sidelined for a further week.
