In the early hours of December 4, a home on Marshall Street was engulfed in flames and the property could not be saved.
NSW Land and Housing has contracted Bullivant and Associates to bulldoze the property, which is estimated to cost about $60,000.
This comes as the department lodged three applications with council in March for the demolition of burnt-down properties in Ashmont and Tolland.
A former public housing tenant Christine Norton previously told The Daily Advertiser that these vacant homes around the city are "prime targets" for vandalism and crime.
"Crime is driving people out of the suburb, people want to get out and not live here," she said.
"It's bringing down the whole neighbourhood."
