Police clocked a driver at 135 kilometres in the Riverina, only to discover he had already been banned from driving for 24 hours.

About 10:20pm on Saturday, police detected a red P-plate driving southbound upon the Newell Highway, Finley at 135 kilometres per hour in a 90 zone.
The Traffic and Highway Patrol Command, in an online statement, said after being stopped for checks it revealed that he was stopped twice in Albury during the morning and charged with refusal to provide oral fluid, twice.
It is understood he was then prohibited from driving for a period of 24 hours.
The statement alleged the car was displaying false plates.
"His licence was suspended for P1 Exceed speed limit over 30km/h and charged for the traffic matters," the statement read.
"Unregistered, uninsured, drive whist prohibited from driving, exceed speed 30km/h, false plates."
