Riverina motorists will be targeted in the next two days as Operation Chrome commences tonight in a bid to remove impaired drivers from the road.

Extra cops will be on the roads and back roads to target road safety and road trauma, with up to 10 additional highway patrol vehicles.
Riverina Police District Inspector Peter McLay said if motorists want to drink, then the message is don't drive.
"Chrome is a southern region operation...and an operation which we run several times during the year," he said.
"This is an opportunity for our local police to work alongside highway patrol police in removing impaired drivers from our roads and hopefully saving lives.
"It's about road safety and reducing road trauma, so impaired drivers; those impaired by alcohol and drugs can expect to get stopped by their local police."
Inspector McLay said this operation does not involve double demerits, just extra cops on the roads.
