At just five years old, Saphiere Bowman decided to donate her toys to the Paediatric and Adolescent Unit at the hospital.
Her great-grandmother Brenda Shone worked at the hospital for 16 years, currently serving as the volunteer manager, and said the idea started from a little tidy-up of the home.
"My daughter was sorting out a lot of things and all these games and puzzles, so she asked me if the hospital might like them," she said.
"We spoke to the children's ward and they said they actually really needed toys to I went to my granddaughter too and asked her for anything they had lying around, and also my grandson's wife who had a lot of baby things leftover.
"So my great-granddaughter Saphiere heard and she wanted to be the one to give them her toys herself."
Generosity runs in the family's genes, with Mrs Shone's great grandson, two-year-old James Bowman, lining up a donation of his own as well.
