AFL Canberra have faced the same issues as Riverina League when it comes to fielding their best possible team for this year's interleague clash.
"We're not bad. We've had the usual issues with rep footy. Some are really keen and some that have played before and are not so keen. Some like the weekend off as well," Bourke said.
"We've trimmed our squad down to 25. I'm happy with the boys we've got, it's a fairly young team but that's the way rep footy is going."
Former Riverina League players Campbell Lovell (half-back flank) and Henry Delves (centre half-forward) have both been named for AFL Canberra.
Former Farrer League players Lachlan Highfield, Daniel Jordan, James McCabe and Stephen Camp will also play for AFL Canberra on Saturday.
Bourke confirmed AFL Canberra will again look to implement a slick running game style against their Riverina opponents.
"I think history says we've always looked for a bit of outside run against Riverina," he said.
"Two years ago we went with a lot of quality ball users and tried to match the outside run and rebound off half-back. Footy's changed a bit and if we can do that, match their run and carry, we've got some dangerous small and medium forwards and we'll look to give them every opportunity."
Bourke was coach of AFL Canberra when they defeated Riverina League by 40 points two years. He admitted he was surprised by that results and expects a much closer game at Football Park in Canberra on Saturday.
