The Red Lion Hotel, formerly the Imperial Hotel, on Edward Street was demolished to make way for the $32 million redevelopment of the Murrumbidgee Flour Mill site.
Grand plans included transforming the site into a residential, shopping and eatery hub while retaining its industrial heritage.
The latest milestone came in March this year when construction of The Mill Holiday Inn and Suites was announced.
While The Mill now boats a residential hub and restaurants, not all parts of the master plan has been smooth.
French-style The Pig and Pastry operated for only 18 months while speculation of Yenda Brewery opening was put to rest in January this year.
Despite the ebb and flow of developments at The Mill, the site has now become very much a part of Wagga's character.
