In a sign of the players' commitment to representative football, both Barrett and Gordon will give themselves every chance to be declared fit to face AFL Canberra in the nation's capital on Saturday.
Riverina League representative coach Jade Hodge has trimmed the squad down to 25, with the final 22 to be named after Thursday night's final training run.
Barrett sustained three corks to the one leg in Coolamon's win over Turvey Park on Sunday, while Gordon received a head knock for Wagga Tigers on Saturday.
But both are happy to leave a final decision until later in the week, leaving Hodge happy with the talent that remains at his disposal.
"There are a couple that are touch and go but we haven't had to pull anyone else into the squad and I'm pretty happy with what we've got," Hodge said.
"We've got three or four options in each position really and everyone is keen to play that's in there. Hopefully we can go there and give it a good crack."
Among the players to withdraw from the Riverina League squad were Nathan Byrne, Jeremiah Maslin, Tom Osmotherly, Tom Meline, Bryce O'Garey, Matt Rainbird, Jackson Kelly and Luke Redfern.
Riverina League will take on AFL Canberra at Football Park, Phillip at 4pm.
