Unbeaten Collingullie-Glenfield Park and Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes dominate the eight-player squad with three and two players apiece, with Wagga Tiger Jess Allen named coach.
Collingullie duo Flynn Hogg, 17 and Hannah Finemore, 18 will spearhead the attack as the squad looks to avenge their defeat to Canberra two years ago.
The fact an under-17 game won't be played this year has allowed selectors the chance to throw up-and-coming talent into the hot seat against older opposition.
Collingullie coach Brigetta Hart will captain the side.
"Canberra are quite tall and physical, so it's a chance for the younger girls to play a higher level," she said.
"It's really exciting to have three 'Gully' girls in there, especially because Flynn and Hannah are quite young."
Despite the team's tender years, Allen insists they are better placed to beat Canberra than they were in 2017.
"We've got a stronger team this year," she said.
"The last time we played Canberra we went down by about ten goals, but all the girls have played together in rep teams for a few years and know each other's games."
Although she doesn't captain Collingullie, Allen said naming Hart as skipper was an easy decision.
"She's a really good leader in my eyes, she always leads by example on the court and is always talking to other players," she said.
"She's probably the best girl for the job.
"Brigetta and myself are the oldest in the team by a fair way which is pretty exciting.
"We're expecting Canberra to be pretty tall and pretty tough. It's a good chance for the young girls in the league to see where they're at, and step up to that challenge."
