The 11-year-old twins from Wagga's Shinwa-Kai Karate Club finished equal third in the 10-11 years female children Kata event at Whitlam Leisure Centre in Sydney.
Jamilah also went on to win the silver medal in the 10-11 years female children Kumite event.
Sawal Salleh, their father and coach, was extremely proud of his girls' achievements.
"They had put in hours of training to prepare themselves for this high level competition in which they had to face against members of the state team," Salleh said.
"Leading up to competition, they even trained six times a week during the two weeks school holidays.
"They were nervous at the start of the competition but they were able to overcome it after their first win. They began to understand that purposeful training and experience will help them to improve their karate skills to be able to compete with confidence."
