As well as scrumptious food, there were also flowers and gifts.
Others ventured to parks for a quiet day.
The weather was also near perfect for the occasion.
Wagga resident Joan Rutland, 93, was born and bred in Ganmain, said highlights for her were seeing her children do well in life.
"They're so lovely.
"We're a really close family."
Her daughter, Meryl, said the highlight of the day was simply sharing it with her mother.
"We've got lots of memories going back in time," Meryl said.
"I've lived with mum, we shared a house and we do lots of things together."
Meryl and her three brothers grew up in Ganmain before moving to Wagga 42 years ago.
