This work is a "revamped" iteration of his 1976 piece, Systems Feedback, which reflects Wicks' practice in the 1970s, encompassing mediums such as, photography, sound, Portapak video or slides.
Wicks uses contemporary digital and photographic processes for Information Overload 2019 + and describes the work as "self-contained and under surveillance, but still retaining the nostalgia of the Kingswood era and fridge magnet."
... but still retaining the nostalgia of the Kingswood era and fridge magnet.

DON'T miss On the Origins of Capital, a collaborative exhibition between artists James Farley, Jacob Raupach and Felix Wilson. Drawing on their photographic backgrounds, the artists set up a space for considering the material, economic and ecological entanglements of extractive and transformative industries. This exhibition closes on May 19.

AMONG the extraordinary pieces from the National Art Glass Collection, curator Suzanne Brett was drawn to sculptures with a common narrative. Beautifully crafted objects both powerful and ordinary that play a part in daily life, works that express a love for the landscape, portray hardships endured and others which define Australian society and culture. These came together to form the exhibition This Australian Life, which closes July 21.
