THE Narrandera Clay Target Club is closing its doors after 70 years in operation. This decision was taken much to the regret of the remaining members who are now being outnumbered by visiting shooters. Generally speaking, it is a sign of the times. The cost of travelling, which sometimes includes not only petrol but accommodation, is a contributing factor. In addition, the younger people in the community are committed to attending their children's sporting events and fewer are able to participate in Clay Target Club events on an ongoing basis.
