Before their debut, the candidates had undergone a month of personal development, which saw them brushing up on their dining etiquette and event management to media training and appropriate dress sense.
This year's entrants are Brittany Hackett, Hannah Smith, Tegan Nash, Margie Gaynor, Erica Davis, Montanna Ross and Hayley Wallace.
Tegan Nash described herself as "community-minded" and supportive of charities.
She has decided to take part in the Miss Wagga Quest because she shared like-minded values.
"I am involved in my local sporting groups and I am always backing local events. I am also an advocate for melanoma and skin detection," she said.
"Miss Wagga Quest has brought us seven ladies together who will be working as a team towards much-needed outcomes for our four chosen charities."
In its 72nd year, the quest's charities are Country Hope, Relationship Australia, the Cancer Council and the Ronald McDonald House.
Charles Sturt University student Erica Davis, who moved to Wagga four years ago from Colac, said she hopes to give back to the community during her final year of studying veterinary science.
Miss Davis said the events such as the Miss Wagga Quest or the Showgirl competitions, are helping young women find confidence in themselves.
"I am a social person and like to meet new people and this event brings everyone out of their shells," she said.
"I hope the people who see us out there are proud of what we are doing. It is a big step to enter yourself in a competition like this."
Brittany Hackett, who works in financial administration, is focused on personal development during the quest.
"I have suffered from anxiety and Miss Wagga Quest is an opportunity for me to throw myself in the deep end while meeting amazing women and raising money for charity," she said.
For the next six months, the seven candidates will host various fundraisers and events before the Miss Wagga and Community Princess winners are finally crowned at a ceremony in November.
