On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning, the Eta Aquarid meteor shower will peak, peppering the early morning sky.
One amateur photographer from Wagga, Beck McCallum, has a passion for snapping shots of the Milky Way and is preparing to snap the stunning skies.
"In Wagga, you want to head out to somewhere where it is dark and there is no pollution," she said.
"You will need to have some patience."
Ms McCallum shared three tips to snap the perfect night-time shot of the universe.
"You have to have the right camera, so a DSLR, with a wide-angle lens," she said.
"It can take a bit of time to find the perfect spot and you will need to play with the camera settings a bit.
"Don't expect to get the perfect shot on the first go."
Jake Clark, astronomer and PhD Student at the University of Southern Queensland, said the meteor shower is going to peak at the start of tomorrow morning.
"The best time is Tuesday to Thursday morning," he said.
"Looking at the forecast for the area, Tuesday and Thursday morning for Wagga would be the best time to see the shower.
"In terms of time, we're talking pretty early so the best time to go out is from 2.30 to 3.30am and onwards."
Mr Clark said the origin of the meteor shower is in the north-east, so look towards that direction and the darker the skies, the better.
"Find an oval, get a picnic blanket and look up," he said.
"Ideally, if you can get out of the main parts of Wagga.
"In between The Rock and Wagga would be great and Oura would also be a good spot."
Mr Clark said the shower will be dense with a maximum rate of 30 meteors per hour.
"The meteor shower is leftover debris from Haley's comet," he said.
Mr Clark said viewers should give themselves five minutes to get used to the dark.
"Give yourself time to adjust and you will see something," he said.
