The previously unbeaten Tigers trailed for most of the match, but kicked five of the first six goals of the final term to hit the lead.
But after receiving a free kick around 35 metres out and almost directly in front, tall forward/ruckman Peck nailed the shot to register the Lions' second win of the AFL Riverina season.
It was a moment of drama which had even the most staunch GGGM supporters scurrying for the record books.
"We had people out here saying they'd never seen that happen at this club, a kick after the siren to win," Lions coach Christin Macri said.
"There was a couple of important plays towards the end and he (Peck) nailed it. He's done a lot of work on his goal kicking the last 12 months, it was brilliant.
"We led for most of the day and we lost it late, but there was a couple of important plays towards the end."
The win was the ideal tune-up for GGGM before they travel to defending premiers Collingullie-Glenfield Park on Saturday.
