United's fitness and resolve was set be tested with the clash with the Sharks on on Saturday night before returning home to Leeton to tackle St Mary's in the State Cup on Sunday morning.
However, St Mary's forfeited late on Thursday afternoon.
United coach Frank Alampi said his side was prepped and ready for Lake Albert.
He believes the key to winning under lights on Saturday night would be to play a tight match.
"The boys need to keep doing what they've been doing, if they can do that, I think we'll be okay," he said.
