The event celebrates the "beautiful autumn colours of the region and everything else Tumut has to offer".
Hundreds of townspeople and visitors gathered along Wynyard Street to watch the street parade, involving young and old from various community groups not just in Tumut but also from the region.
"The parade was led by With One Voice Ginninderry Choir supported by the Canberra Gay and Lesbian Ukulele Band, who were the first float behind the Five Falling Leaves and the Fire and Rescue Tumut Truck, and they did a great job filling in for the Tumut Town Band," event publicity officer Sam Phillips said.
"It certainly had terrific crowds during the day, it was very well supported.
"We had some wonderful floats in there and the fireworks at night just made it a great vibe."
As part of the town's celebrations, there were more than 90 stalls at the Tumut Lions Market.
"I went down for a bit and it was pumping - there were just a lot for everyone to do," Ms Phillips said.
Ms Phillips thanked all who made the event possible, including Tumut Lions Club, local schools, and those who participated in the parade.
