Aggies head into the grand final rematch with plenty of personnel changes.
Ben Brooke, Sam Webster, Charles Callaghan and Pat Logan are all out of the side who proved far too good for Leeton before Easter.
Cameron Duffy and Liam Mowbray are also still on the sidelines through injury while Darcy Booth was set to play his first game of the year but has also been ruled out.
Coach Will Mitchell admitted it was far from an ideal build-up into the blockbuster clash.
"It's very annoying," Mitchell said.
"We're still a good chance of playing some good footy, and I expect us to play good footy, and it's a chance to see where we are at as a club depth wise.
"If we can get these five or six guys to step up and really perform it puts a lot of faith in the club."
However it's not all bad news with Hamish Pennington, the only member of the last Ag College side to beat their crosstown rivals, back in at number 10.
Aggies haven't had success over Waratahs since a 34-18 win in May 2015 on the day the celebrated their 65th anniversary.
Mitchell knows all too well how they played that day, after coaching Waratahs to a grand final appearance that season, but isn't reading into the hype of the grand final rematch.
Instead he believes all the pressure is on Waratahs to continue their winning run.
"There is no pressure on us and we have nothing to lose as far as this weekend goes," Mitchell said.
"We're undermanned, under strength and I believe they are back at full strength so all the pressure is on them.
"Waratahs are expected to win every game of footy they play and I don't think that changes this weekend."
Waratahs bounced back from a shock loss to Wagga City to start the season with a win over Albury.
Co-coach Angus Stevenson wanted more from the side despite a 66-20 win on the border and they too have made plenty of changes.
Harry Cook comes into the side to join Tony Ritchie and Chris Murray in the front row.
Joe Mullany comes into the second row while former winger Richie Lamont has been named at flanker with Sam Bunny shifting to number eight to replace Harry Hosegood.
Sam Hobbs, who scored for Ag College in their last win over Waratahs, is back in first grade at halfback, with Xavier Chigwidden returning to the number 10 jersey.
George Mallat coming back onto the wing rounds out the changes.
Mitchell believes retaining possession will be the key for his side.
"We need to be holding the ball for long periods of time," he said.
"Waratahs aren't a side where you do one or two good phases and the trigger is ready to be pulled.
"It has to be five, six or seven."
