Hood was at halfback against Griffith, his first game in the top grade since helping Reddies to a second tier grand final win in 2015, but the 38-year-old is more than happy to return to his non-playing role.
"I don't want to be doing that again very quickly," Hood said.
Instead Lachlan Bailey is back to tackle Tumut at Beres Ellwood Oval on Saturday.
Hood has made a number of positional changes, Bailey's return in is the only personal change after a much improved effort against the Blacks.
After a horror start against Ag College, Hood thought was a huge improvement and wants to see that continue against the in-form Bulls.
"With their (Griffith's) offload ability and bit of speed out wide they scored a few easy tries, which we are looking to prevent against Tumut," he said.
"We really want to put a few things in place and keep moving forward."
