With a little more than a week before the big day, Riverina racegoers are putting the final touches on their Gold Cup outfits but it's not too late to find the perfect hat to tell your fashion story.

Riverina milliners Amanda Causer and Tracey Bell share their top tips when searching for headwear.
"There seem to be lots of burgundies, mustards and olive greens," Ms Causer said.
"However the traditional red, black, white and navy can still be found.
"There is no real rule for the Gold Cup."
There are seven milliners who make all sorts of designs, showcasing a huge cross section in styles.
"We have been doing this for eight years," Ms Bell said.
"We get along and we work well together, but the beauty of it is that we are all so diverse.
"Some ladies go for the elegant and refined look while one lady who is an artist, her looks turn out to be crazy."

Ms Bell said racegoers should not be afraid to be out there.
"If you want to get noticed you should wear something that has got flair and it is always nice to make sure that it does tone in with your outfit," she said.
"Always make sure the line when it's sitting on your head is right.
"Wear a winter fabric such as leather and felt."
Ms Causer said one of her own favourite designs included felt that had been twisted with curled feathers cascading down.
"I like the more outrageous pieces," she said.
"We thank the Marketplace for their support."
The 'Avenue of Hats' is on display now in Wagga Marketplace, and features the following Milliners from Canberra and the Riverina:

The store will be closed on Gold Cup Day and will be open for two days following the race day.
