Inspector Peter McLay said police conducted more than 8000 breath tests in the Riverina as part of Operation Tortoise.
"Fortunately we have no serious accidents to report," he said.
"There were a total of six people arrested and charged with PCA offences, one high, one medium and four low-range offences."
Inspector McLay said a 58-year-old woman was charged with a high-range offence after police pulled her over for not having headlights on.
"She will appear at court at a later date," he said.
"The vehicle passed police on Kincaid Street and the headlights were turned off.
"Police attempted to stop the car and eventually stopped in Forsyth Street."
A 25-year-old man in Temora was arrested following a police pursuit that saw him try to hide under a house.
"He was arrested and charged with a number of offences including police pursuit and driving an unregistered vehicle and driving whilst disqualified," Inspector McLay said.

"The vehicle was sighted by police on Burley Griffin Way and police made attempts to try and stop that vehicle and it drove along some rural roads and police lost sight of the vehicle.
"He will appear before court at a later date."
Inspector McLay said the car had been later sighted in Temora and the man was known to police.
Overall, there were 8333 breath tests were conducted, there were 177 for infringements other than speeding and seatbelts, 160 speeding offences and 13 for restraint offences.
Operation Pariac also ran over the weekend to target alcohol-related crime and Inspector McLay said police were pleased with the behaviour.
Riverina motorists have been put on notice as Operation Go Slow kicks off on Tuesday at midnight.
"Police will be out in force," Inspector McLay said.
"It will continue until Sunday night at midnight."
Inspector McLay said he would encourage people to keep up the good behaviour.
