The Narrandera Rod Run and Show 'n' Shine has once again attracted hundreds of car enthusiasts to its annual car show.
The event organiser Steve Alldrick said the turnout was the biggest it has been in 20 years. He said the town has benefited from the cash injection and the community was always appreciative.
"Everyone was over-the-moon and locals were wrapped with the attendance in the street," he said.
"After 35 years, it was important we razzed up the event and remind people it is there."
Mr Alldrick said the car show has become an Easter tradition for many families, with people travelling interstate to attend.
"People come here every year because it has become a tradition for many," he said.
"There were three generations at this year's car show. Parents are taking their kids and when they are grown up they come back with their kids," he said.
Mr Alldrick said the volunteers worked hard to deliver an event that has improved year-on-year.
"We haven't change much, but focused on the little things such as traffic control and signage. It helps make the event run more smoothly," he said.
"We have put in a lot of work and it's paid off to make a better event.
"It is the little things that make the event better."
Mr Alldrick said the event raised over $4000 for the Cancer Council.
