While there are no problems with the on-course lighting it's unable to be used at meetings due to an issue with the street lighting outside the new Cartwright's Hill circuit.
Works are required on the corner of Cooramin Street and Hampden Avenue for public safety and the necessary parties are at a standstill.
The club has been forced to make a number of program changes while the problem is ongoing with scheduled night meetings transferred to day meetings on different dates.
Off the back of a successful Carnival of Cups meeting on Sunday, Harness Racing chief executive John Dumesny is hoping the issue can be sorted in the coming months.
He is looking at having a least a temporary solution to be in place by July.
"We're working with council to come up with a suitable solution in respect to what is required," Dumensy said.
"We've been working with them basically constantly since the opening meeting and are likely to have some face-to-face time in the next couple of weeks, but we will be racing, even if it is under temporary light on the corner from July."
While patrons flocked to the Wagga Pacers Cup meeting on Sunday, the cup is usually run on Saturday night.
Despite the change of time, and the move to the Easter weekend, Dumesny was pleased with the crowd and the track itself.
