Allen admitted she felt the new-look Wagga Tigers would take longer to hit their straps after replacing departed key players Lana Duffy and Grace Cornell with untried youngsters.
Player Olivia Tilyard has also taken up the coaching reins from Julie Cornell, but the squad has wasted no time sending a warning they won't give up the Riverina League crown without a fight.
Allen said the strong turnout for the match added weight to hopes the match could become a regular fixture.
"I'd like it, we could build a tradition and rivalries in the league are always good in the league," Allen said.
"We had a pretty positive response from our end, so I think it's definitely worth doing.
"Considering we had so many girls away it was good to get another win, especially for the younger girls who've come in to build their confidence.
"It's been really exciting. I don't think we expected to have wins like that this early on, we thought we'd have to work into it a bit more."
The Wagga Tigers will get a better gauge of their progress when they host last year's preliminary finalists Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes this Saturday afternoon.
