AFL Riverina gave the green light for football to return on Good Friday and it was traditional arch-rivals Turvey Park and Wagga Tigers who led the way to reintroduce the standalone fixture.
Wagga Tigers will go into the game as favourites, on the back of a spectacular off-season recruitment drive, which was backed up by an opening round 90-point win over Leeton-Whitton at Leeton.
Turvey Park cannot be underestimated however, as they upset Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes by two points in the opening round, the Bulldogs' first win over the Goannas since 2011.
Turvey Park co-coach Mark Carroll says the Bulldogs are up for the challenge, while Wagga Tigers counterpart Troy Maiden believes his team must be ready for a big test.
