Nick McCarthy is confident Southern Inland's Country representatives can really take it to their City counterparts when the concept is revived next month.
McCarthy and Jonathan Andreou were named as the Country coach for the clash in Leeton on May 12 while Will Mitchell will steer City.
With representatives from Albury, Tumut, Leeton, Griffith and Deniliquin combining to take on players from the four Wagga clubs, McCarthy expects plenty of talent to be showcased.
"It's a pretty exciting opportunity for everyone to have a high level game of rugby and play with the guys they normally play against," McCarthy said.
"It breaks down those inter-club barriers."
Squads aren't expected to be finalised until after another training session in a fortnight.
However suspended Leeton forward Mesulame Navakayala isn't expected to come into consideration after failing to nominate for the program.
