He made his return at Holbrook last Saturday after three months on the sideline with a fractured ankle and won the Cup on the Gary Colvin-trained Danetrille.
Heywood will continue his comeback to race riding at Albury on Thursday, the club's replacement showcase meeting, with a book of six rides.
The 23-year-old is happy to be back riding at the races.
"It's really good. The first month out was ok but after that all I wanted to do was come back," Heywood said.
"I'm happy to be back race riding, not as happy to be back sweating."
Heywood plans to have his riding weight at 58 kilograms but has accepted a couple of rides at 57.5kg on Thursday.
Fun Tickets and Francisco Pizaro look to be among Heywood's best chances but he hopes all of his six rides will go close.
"All will be around the mark I think. I want all my rides to be competitive," he said.
Heywood will follow up Albury on Thursday, with rides at Moruya (Saturday), Nowra (Sunday) and Wagga (Tuesday).
He has combined that with riding trackwork at Wagga, Canberra and Goulburn.
Heywood hopes to be back in full flight by the two big days of the Wagga carnival.
"Hopefully I can get one or two nice rides. It's harder only being able to ride heavy," he said.
"It's always good to get a winner over the carnival."
