A juvenile detainee was missing for four nights and has now been apprehended by police.

Juvenile Justice said a search was conducted after the young individual failed to show at a designated pick up.
"Around 4:30pm on April 12, a detainee from the Riverina Juvenile Justice Centre undertaking training on authorised day leave, failed to arrive at the required pick up point," the spokesperson said.
"Juvenile Justice staff conducted a search which failed to locate the detainee.

"When the detainee could not be located by staff, police were immediately informed. Juvenile Justice assisted police with the search."
The young person was apprehended this afternoon and the spokesperson said as an investigation is currently underway, this is now a matter for the police.
