The Tigers finished top with a 5-1 record in the four-team competition, including a 9-6 win over Storm in the major semi a fortnight ago to book their spot in the decider.

But Argus is wary of an ambush by a Storm side who have gradually improved from match to match.

"It (results) at least shows we can beat them, but their team got better and better with every game," Argus said.

"They've got a couple of young blokes who've started to get some confidence and they're definitely not a team to take lightly, they've got there for a reason."

Argus said the mixed competition had provided an invaluable avenue for youngsters to develop playing against and with the city's established players.

"I think it's real beneficial, especially with the different age group within the teams, from veterans all the way to under-16s," he said.

"It's going to be a decent spectacle and it would be great to get a decent crowd."

Experienced Storm player Rachael Addison said the concept, where the region's best players are evenly distributed across the teams by a selection panel, has the potential to nurture young talent by playing against and with established players.

It's an absolutely fantastic concept, it's great to experience something different and I'm grateful Wagga Touch took the risk and tried something different," Addison said.

"I love playing with these younger kids coming up and they're so talented. The fact they can learn playing alongside people like Darren Reynoldson and Alex McKenzie in our team is fabulous."

The match begins on the main field at 8pm.
