Navakayala was red carded three minutes into the second half of the Phantoms loss to Ag College for a punch on Simon Miller.
He looked to be in trouble for a high tackle before getting up and hitting the Aggies winger.
He was handed a straight red card by referee Brendan Reynolds.
The incident has been graded as low but subject to mitigating factors he is facing a minimum of four weeks.
Leeton were thrashed 53-23 in a rematch of last year's grand final.
There is a general bye for the Easter weekend before the Phantoms get a chance to respond up against Albury in a third straight home game to start the season.
