The Wiggles perform in the city every few years, each time selling out seats completely, and this time was no different.

Civic Theatre manager Carissa Campbell said tickets for all 2000 seats went on sale on Friday April 12 at 10:30am, and did not last long.

"They've all sold out, and basically were completely taken by the end of Friday at around 5:30 that evening, with a few stragglers left snapped up on Saturday," she said.

This year, The Wiggles are putting on four shows in the one day on June 25 and Ms Campbell said the main attraction is the female star.

"It's all about Emma Wiggle, little kids don't care about the past team like a lot of the parents who may say she's not a 'true' wiggle," she said.

"Every little girl and even a good part of the boys dress up as her and go nuts when she comes out on stage."

Ms Campbell said for those who were not quick enough to get tickets, there is always a chance some may become available.

"We'll start a waiting list if anyone drops out - it's always possible to snag some, and [The Wiggles] are going to Albury and Canberra as well so it's worth trying there with bigger venues," she said.

"A big hint though for future shows is to get onto The Wiggles mailing list - they let those people know first when everything happens."

The highly sought-after stars bring people from all across the region to see them perform, according to Ms Campbell, and could be the Civic Theatre's biggest show of the year.

"Four shows is hard to beat, but just this week we've put on second shows for three other programs so it's a reflection of Wagga's growing population and we are lucky to have such an interested community," she said.
