The MTC and Wagga Harness Racing Club will both hold feature meetings on Sunday where a person has the chance to win bonus prizes to the Wagga Gold Cup (May 3) and Wagga Carnival of Cups (April 21).
If a person selects the winner of the Murrumbidgee Cup (MTC) and the feature race at Riverina Paceway on Sunday they will receive two complimentary tickets to the meetings on April 21 and May 3.
Wagga Harness Racing Club chief executive Graeme White said the clash shouldn't have happened and was out of the control of both parties.
"It's one of those unfortunate things where both feature meetings are on," he said.
MTC chief executive Steve Keene said neither racing body wanted to race on the same day as they shared some of the same staff and many racegoers liked to attend both meetings.
"Looking at our dates for next season, there are also a few clashes which we are working to sort out so we don't race on the same day," he said.
The Wagga clubs will also offer free betting, meal and drinks tickets to a punter who gets it right in both races.
Patrons will be able to fill out a form in the race book or on one of the forms at either track to be eligible.
Entries must be received prior to 2pm at the office of either Club.
If no one has a correct entry, the prize will revert to an open draw.
If there are multiple successful entries the tickets and bonuses will go to the first correct entry drawn.
