The Wanderers men followed in the footsteps of the women last week and opened their season in style, accounting for O'Connor Knights 4-1 at Gissing Oval on Saturday.
The men backed up the women's clean sweep from a week earlier, with the under 20 team also getting the job done 4-1 over the Knights.
The men got off to a strong start with first half goals to Ahmed Badawy and Fred Gardner, putting the Wanderers in a strong position.
Jake Ploenges broke his goal drought in the second half to score the Wanderers third, before Gardner grabbed his second to put the icing on the cake.
Wanderers coach Ross Morgan was delighted to start the season with a victory at home.
"It was fantastic, we followed in line with the start the women and juniors had," Morgan said.
"It's very encouraging, not just that there were four goals scored but we held them out until half-time, didn't let them get any shots on and we defended well."
After some indifferent pre-season form, Morgan said the win will do wonders for the Wanderers' confidence.
"It's really encouraging," he said.
"We didn't know what to expect from the opposition but we didn't give them anything and we didn't let up," he said.
Prince Thompson was a standout in defence for the Wanderers, while Dylan Berkrey was another to shine in the Wanderers' big win.
Morgan was pleased with the Wanderers' attack also.
"Having Freddy back after missing the FFA Cup made a big difference," he said.
"It was good to see Jake score as well. He's been hard on himself but it was good for him to end his drought."
While it was a super start to the year, the Wanderers have done it tough in Sydney in previous seasons and Morgan is determined to keep a lid on things.
"The main thing is not to get carried away," he said.
"We know there is going to be a lot of tough games so we'll keep working hard and hopefully we can be thereabouts for the rest of the season."
Morgan added that there was a fantastic vibe at the Wanderers after a brilliant start to the year, across the board.
"It's great for the whole club," he said.
"It's good that we were able to back it up after how the juniors and the women's have been doing."
The Wanderers will hope to have US imports, defender Paul Milner and midfielder Frank Macias, available this week after clearance issues.
They will travel to take on Canberra White Eagles, who they lost 5-2 in the FFA Cup last month, at Woden Park.
