Joanne Cochrane spoke about empowering women's bodies at the Brunch to Lunch event which was held at Wagga RSL to give women the chance for some time away for themselves and to discuss common health issues that are facing Riverina women.
"I used to be 135 kilograms and I am now down to about 75," she said.
"I have lost that all naturally and I have done a bodybuilding competition so I went from one extreme to the other.
"I left my job as a chef to become a personal trainer and motivational speaker."
Ms Cochrane is "Wagga born and bred" and was excited to have the chance to share messages of her personal journey.
"Everyone will take away something to do with their own experience because I don't want to tell someone how to do or how to be," she said.
"By sharing my own story and being vulnerable in front of other people, someone will pick up something."
Brooke Brunskill spoke about empowerment through fear and how as women get older, they deal with more insecurities.
"I am also teaching people on how to use yoga and meditation to connect within," she said.
Casey Wilson, the organiser of Brunch to Lunch, said they had nearly doubled the first event's number with 112 guests registered.
"I am so excited," she said. "I think health and wellness are really important in people's lives and we are talking about empowerment which is so relevant to ladies."
Ms Wilson said the event will return in October.
