Vatubuli was expected to stay at Junee this season before a late change of heart saw him switch to the Wagga side.
It will be his fourth Group Nine club in the last five years.
The centre joined Junee last season following a stint with the Canberra Raiders under 20s.
He was at Brothers in 2016, after playing Weissel Cup with Southcity in 2015. He also played Sullivan Cup with Tumbarumba in 2013.
Kangaroos coach Glenn Dumbrell is pleased to have him on board and is still hoping to secure a couple of more players before they kick off the Group Nine season against Young on Saturday.
"We're hoping to have a few more but they haven't signed on just yet," Dumbrell said.
Dumbrell is still unsure just how Kangaroos will line up when they take on the 'Pickers at Equex Centre on Saturday.
They showed some good signs in the pre-season, but it could have come at a cost.
"We snagged a few injuries from the nines comp actually and played Gundagai with 10 or 12 players out of the 20," Dumbrell said.
"We did pick up a few injuries and I don't know if we will be at full strength as I'm going to give them the week to get right."
Fullback Cameron Andrews looks to have the biggest question mark over his fitness.
However he's set to play a much bigger role in the club's spine this year after their losses during the off-season.
With Tristan Dickson, Ben Jeffery, Tyson McLachlan and Dylan McLachlan at different clubs this season, Trae O'Neill and Zac Graham will be the new halves pairing for the club with Dumbrell at hooker.
The coach is confident it will work.
"We've got a fairly new spine but that are all fairly experienced fellas," Dumbrell said.
Kade MacDonald will be used off the bench.
Coming back to Group Nine after four years in Group 20 with Yanco-Wamoon, Dumbrell is unsure what the Cherrypickers will throw at them.
Instead he's just looking to build the club back into a finals force after finishing eighth last season.
"We're just focusing on ourselves for now," Dumbrell said.
"It is the start of the season and we just want to continue to get better, individually and as a team.
"We will have a pretty big week at training and we aren't really worried about our competition at the moment - we are just worried about ourselves and doing the right things."
However he's excited by the challenge that lies ahead as he tests himself in a tougher competition once again.
"I haven't played Group Nine footy in four years so I'm pretty keen," he said.
"We've had a big pre-season, going back to November, so I'm pretty keen to play some footy and see what it brings."
