President Jason Gooden said the club was excited to be given the opportunity particularly with it being on the fringe of the neighbouring competition.
"We're really excited about hosting the game," Gooden said.
"The Farrer league is obviously nearby and it should be a good game with the Hume league doing well in representative footy in recent seasons.
"We've done a lot of work on our facilities and ground so it's a nice reward for all the people who have contributed to that as well."
Howlong hosted last season's clash between the Hume and Ovens and King leagues.
Meanwhile, Osborne will officially be known as the Tigers when the season starts on Saturday.
The change from the Cats to Tigers was ticked off by the league earlier this year.
Walbundrie was previously the Tigers.
