Murray River Police District commenced an investigation to locate a 32-year-old man wanted on two outstanding arrest warrants for firearm offences allegedly committed in Deniliquin in January this year.
Following inquiries, Victoria Police arrested a 32-year-old man at a home in Shepparton about 4.20pm on Friday.
He was taken to Shepparton Police Station and charged with the outstanding warrants.
The Deniliquin man is expected to appear before Shepparton Magistrates Court later today, where NSW detectives will seek his extradition.
Inquiries continue.
