DASHING defender Dale Cox has returned to Henty from South Australia.
After being unable to secure employment with SANFL team Sturt's feeder club Scotch College, the 20-year-old contacted Swampie coach Joel Price earlier this week.
The news comes only days after Damian Cupido back-flipped on plans to break his contract and join Rumbalara.
"I've kept in touch with Dale over the last three months and they have been unable to find him employment," Price said.
"He's been really frustrated.
"His goal was to stay over there, but you have to be able to survive.
"I'm a huge fan of Dale as a footballer and person and think he can play at a higher level so we're rapt to get him back for 12 months."
Cox showed flashes of brilliance for Henty alongside his brother, Daniel, last season and his return is a huge boost to the Swampies' chances of bettering last season's preliminary final finish.
In another recruiting coup, reigning premier Brock-Burrum has signed former Albury and Lavington youngster Willson Mack.
Mack has opted to head to the district league after training with the Murray Bushrangers over pre-season.
His arrival will help off-set the departure of Aidan Johnson and Eddy Ziebarth to the Ovens and Murray.
Mack has previously played juniors for Brock-Burrum.
