The Ganmain champion passed away last week aged 84 and was laid to rest on Tuesday.
Not only is Carroll remembered as a champion on the field but also off it, where his resilience and positivity were two features of his personality.
He was a six-time premiership player at Ganmain and represented the old South West League on seven occasions.
'Curl' played 376 first grade games over a 21-year career, which included two years as coach of Marrar.
He was a life member at Ganmain and a two-time best and fairest.
He is survived by his wife Marie and children Mark, Phillip, Stephen and Lisa and their families.
