Run by volunteers, the event held at the Wagga Showgrounds saw supporters young and old dressed up in their favourite characters and partake in workshops, stalls and games.
Mount Austin High School's Jakob Barker, 16, was dressed up as Vegeta from Dragon Ball, a Japanese anime television series.
"I'm just here to have fun and look around and I like to play the games and look at the items," he said.
Jakob's friends were dressed up as Goku, another character from Dragon Ball, as well as Deadpool.
Coolamon's Lily Rose was dressed up as her favourite anime character Rimuru Tempest and the 10-year-old said she was excited to see many people dressed up.
"I'm impressed with a group of people who are here from My Hero Academia, which is really cool," she said.
Behind one of the stalls was Canberra comic artist Cas Imber who said Pokemon themed prints and stickers were the most popular designs.
"There's a new Pokemon game coming out and I think it's popular because it was a big part of a lot our childhoods," she said.
"For me especially, I grew up during the Pokemania craze of the 1990s and it's interesting to see that there are still young children who are into it.
"Of course there are still young people into it as it's a kids franchise, but it's nice to see the next generation have picked it up as well without the big Pokemania push."
Ms Imber said Mario, Steven Universe (American anime) and Digimon are also popular among fans.
