Sean David Walsh, 30, of Junee, appeared in Wagga District Court on Thursday where he was jailed for seven years and six months for committing a total of 13 offences.
The offences related to sending indecent material, soliciting child pornography, procuring and grooming children for sex acts, and failure to comply with reporting obligations.
Walsh, a former train driver, had pleaded guilty to all charges at a previous court appearance.
The offences happened between June 2015 and April 2018 involving six victims aged between 12 and 17 years old.
In one offence, the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children generated a report about an online conversation between Walsh and a victim.
I'm really sorry for everything I've done to the victims.

Walsh offered the victim $5000 to send him images of her engaging in sexual acts with her 19-year-old boyfriend.
At the sentence hearing on February 28, Walsh spoke about his remorse and the impact of the offences.
"I'm really sorry for everything I've done to the victims," he said.
Asked if he wanted to say anything to his father, who was also in court that day, Walsh broke down in tears and said: "I'm really sorry for what I've put you and the family through".
To which Judge Gordon Lerve said he was lucky to have family support.
Asked by Commonwealth prosecutor Hanna von Forell about why the court should believe he was sorry, he said: "I don't know how to answer to that."
"It's just ruined my life," he said.
In his sentence on Thursday, Judge Lerve said the victims' ages informed his findings about the seriousness of the matter.
He also said Walsh appeared to be genuine about not re-offending.
Walsh will be eligible for release to parole in July 2022.
