Wagga Cricket will celebrate another season with it's presentation night on Wednesday at The Rules Club
Nicoll is in a league of his own when it comes to Wagga Cricket as the only four-time winner of the competition's best and fairest award.
He will enter the vote count as a live chance for an unprecedented fifth Brian Lawrence Medal after another stellar season for the minor premiers.
And while Nicoll is happy with how his season has unfolded, he does not consider himself a big chance of another Lawrence Medal.
"It's been pretty good (this season). I think as a whole, we've done really well as a side," Nicoll said.
"I haven't put any emphasis on this sort of stuff.
"We've had a number of guys who have had great years. Rob (Nicoll) and Josh (Thompson) gave me a role at the start of the year and I've focused on trying to do that pretty well.
"I think there a number of guys out there that have had great years, to be honest. I don't think I'll be winning."
Nicoll finished the regular season with 678 runs at a phenomenal average of 135.6. He then enhanced his reputation with an unbeaten 149 in the major semi-final.
He also took 26 wickets at an average of 14.7.
Nicoll believes Kooringal Colts batsman David Bolton is the logical winner.
Bolton scored 685 runs this season at an average of 49.8. He also picked up four wickets.
"I think Dave Bolton is almost a certainty," Nicoll said.
"He certainly stands out every week for Colts.
"Beck Frostick from St Micks has had a good season as well.
"I think Josh Thompson is a dark horse as well and should poll well."
Regardless of who wins the Brian Lawrence Medal, Nicoll's focus is on this weekend's grand final, where the Cats will meet South Wagga.
The Cats progressed straight through to the decider with a big win over the Blues in the major semi-final and are in the box seat, being the higher placed team.
Nicoll has already guided Wagga City to multiple premiership successes and is looking forward to another opportunity this weekend.
"It should be great," he said.
"It's a huge opportunity, you don't get to play in these all the time so I'm going to try and make the most of it."
