Former Gundagai premiership winner, Maika Sivo, couldn't help but get emotional when Parramatta coach Brad Arthur told him he'd be making his NRL debut this weekend.

The 25-year-old was a huge part of the Tigers' 2015 Group Nine victory. On Sunday afternoon, he'll hit the big time against Penrith Panthers.
"I turned around and looked at the whiteboard and my name was there, number two," Said told parraeels.com.au
"I was excited. I was a bit emotional. I got emotional when he tells me. It took me a few minutes to get myself back together."
Sivo said 2015 was his first season of rugby league and it was overwhelming to think he'll get his opportunity in the opening round of the world' top competition within four years.
He said he fell in love with the game in Gundagai and it means plenty to know the town will be right behind him for his NRL journey.
