High participation rates left organisers pushed for time at Red Hill Public's athletics carnival on Wednesday.

With so many students the school almost didn't get through all the events.
Sports co-ordinator Melissa Barnes was thrilled with how the day went.
"We had a nice day for it," Barnes said.
"It wasn't too hot so there a was a really good participation rate.
"We nearly ran out of time but we just made it in as we had so many kids participating.
"That was really good with lots of family and friends coming to support."
Just like they did at the swimming carnival earlier this month Sterling took out house honours over Mortimer.
There were some strong performances on the track and in the field at Jubilee.
There was some hot competition in the 11 years girls age group in particular.
In the end Zjarlie Loockwods and Elizabeth Niki couldn't be split and finished up sharing the age champion honours.
