The alleged crime was reported on Thursday, but the theft is believed to have taken place between early February and early March.
Acting Inspector Horsley has made an appeal to the public to remain vigilant around rural areas, and to report any suspicious behaviour in a timely manner.

In other news, police allege an unknown amount of people attempted to gain entry into the rear yard of a Temora property on Sunday morning.
The intruders made attempts to access two parked vehicles at the address in Aurora Street.
Police are currently seeking information that will lead to the location and identity of the offenders.
