Riverina MP Michael McCormack announced the 206 new beds, including 130 for Wagga homes, at Gumleigh Gardens Hostel on Sunday morning.
Mr McCormack said the Riverina had been a "huge beneficiary" of the latest Aged Care Approvals Round of funding.
"We have seen (aged care) across the Riverina receive new places and capital funding to address the aged care problem, and it is a problem as there are more people wanting beds," he said.
"As we have an ageing population, we need to make sure we address this issue."
Gumleigh Gardens will receive 26 new beds while Goodwin Aged Care Services in Wagga received 80 new beds and Wagga Community Aged Care received 50.
