Bureau of Meteorology technical officer Nigel Smedley said there were multiple warnings issued to residents for storms.
"Wagga had 4.8 millimetres, Young had 2.4 millimetres, Kapooka had 4.4 millimetres, Griffith had 2.2 millimetres, Narrandera had 3.2 millimetres
"Deniliquin had zero millimetres."
The dust storm hit Wagga airport at 6pm and the lowest visibility was down to 1300 metres and lasted a few hours.
Mr Smedley said for the first time in a long time the weather will be below the average today.
"It will be cloudy with a medium chance of showers and a chance of a storm in the morning and the afternoon and a 50 per cent of 4.4 millimetres today," he said.
"It will be tops of 23, which is five degrees below average.
"Back to normal tomorrow with 27 degrees and sunny."
